Our second annual MC500 tour took place at the end of September with a good mix of McLarens - including 570 Spiders, 570GT’s, a 12c, 650 spiders and a very nice 720s.

We were privileged to have McLaren Glasgow support the tour for the second year running providing Breakfast and customary McClub send-off photos.

The send-off was made even more special with McWeegies McLaren Senna leading the Club convoy out of Glasgow as we headed off for the first day of driving up the stunning West Coast of Scotland with lunch at Inveraray Castle, followed by an afternoon comfort break at Oban before driving on to our final destination of the day - Glengarry Castle.

The tour took in a number of the customary NC500 landmarks such as Gairloch, Ullapool, Kylesku, Coco Mountain, Thurso, and John O Groats.

On the final day of driving we headed south driving through the beautiful Cairngorms where we were blessed with dry roads and sunshine.

To revamp this year’s tour we took in the Isle of Skye with a visit to Dunvegan Castle and then later in the week we took a ferry crossing from Gills Bay to St Margaret’s Hope to Orkney where we experienced Island life, local distillery’s, the Italian Chapel, Scapa Flow and standing stones and more importantly the epic roads.

To conclude - 5 days of camaraderie and epic driving on some of the UK’s best roads with stunning scenery covering over 1000 miles without any McLaren fails resulting in universal smiles per miles.
